A NEW TERM, BUT WE’RE FOCUSSED ON CONSISTENCY AND QUALITY

Last week marked the beginning of a fresh new start for school children across the country, and that infectious enthusiasm for new beginnings often crosses over to the parents. We wave the kids off for another school year with fresh hopes for their years ahead (and welcome the respite after a long rainy summer…)

And though we feel new beginnings in the air, at Arc Legal we’re focused on consistency and quality, and carrying forward all the good experiences and initiatives into the final quarters of the year. This is an excellent time to share a round-up of some of those highlights of the year so far and look ahead at what’s to come before the bell tolls at midnight on 31^st December.

Celebrating two decades of excellence

Earlier this year we celebrated one significant milestone – 20 years since Helen Withers, Richard Finan and I first launched Arc Legal Assistance, filling a gap in the market for a Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) provider that offered completely bespoke solutions and delivered a fully integrated claims service in partnership with a small number of quality law firms.

Since then, we’ve focused on establishing our roots and growing in this area of the market as well as developing digital customer interfaces, maintaining our A-rated capacity relationships, and complementing our LEI expertise with a number of other value-add ancillary services including our in-house 24/7 Home Emergency insurance service.

Our 20th-anniversary celebrations culminated in a fantastic party at BIBA, where we welcomed special guest DJ Denise Van Outen and got up on the dancefloor to boogie with Britain’s Got Talent finalists Old Men Grooving!

We were also proud to see the Arc Legal story told in detail across the insurance trade press, like this interview with Insurance Business.

Sky believed in better

Earlier this year, we also celebrated a milestone new deal with Sky to support its brand-new insurance offering in the UK- Sky Protect Smart Home Insurance. Our market-leading LEI and Cyber Assistance is now available to all of Sky’s insurance customers. We’re really proud to have yet another major consumer brand on our books.

Focus on fairness

We’ve continued to focus on delivering fair value to customers this year. Arc Legal wholeheartedly supports the FCA’s fair value measures and we take our responsibilities to our own distribution partners and end-customers seriously. We’ve developed a clear, evidence metric-based framework to assess the value of each of our products and services and the results are excellent. Our distribution and capacity partners were impressed with the comprehensive work we carried out to ensure we not only demonstrate, but also evidence that the add-on products we provide represent excellent value to our distributor’s customers.

The months ahead

We have some more exciting developments to talk about over the coming months. We’ve launched a new Accident Sickness and Unemployment (ASU) proposition that perfectly complements our existing range of ancillary products. I think we’ve all seen the importance of this type of cover in recent years, and as times continue to be tough for customers, with financial instability becoming the norm for a huge number of people across the UK, the ability to protect your family against an unexpected period of unemployment is critical.

We also have several significant new deals to announce in the coming months, and we’ll share details of those as soon as we’re able.

We know the ancillary insurance market may face a little disruption in the months ahead due to various mergers and acquisitions but Arc Legal stands firm. We’re confident in the strength of our business and its products, and proud of the ongoing consistency and quality of service we can provide to our distribution and insurer partners.

So, although September is a time of new beginnings for many, for Arc Legal there is strength in stability, in consistency and quality and in a continuance of excellent service, delivered by market leading experts.
