Arc Legal Assistance (Arc Legal), the bespoke legal expenses insurance provider, has been appointed by AXA Corporate Solutions (AXA) to provide legal expenses insurance for its fleet business in the UK in a move that ensures that its international fleet clients receive a consistent, comprehensive and high quality service.
AXA is a global leader in corporate insurance and provides solutions to over 350 European and global businesses including 50 Pan-European fleet programmes.
The new contract has already seen legal expenses insurance provided to several major clients with a number of other large fleet clients due to launch during 2009.
Under the arrangement with Arc Legal, AXA’S uninsured loss recovery (ULR) and related personal injury claims will be handled by a leading UK specialist law firm with bespoke claims handling arrangements agreed for each fleet. Arc Legal says the use of solicitors at the beginning of the claims process is particularly important in controlling fleet claims which are frequently complicated and include substantial uninsured losses.
Commenting on the agreement with Arc Legal, Guy Coulter, Head of Motor at AXA Corporate Solutions, commented: “Our fleet clients are often international businesses with extensive operations in Europe where personal injury legal expenses insurance is expected to be included as standard.
“Working with Arc presents the ideal opportunity to deliver this and provide our clients with the high level of service they expect from a proven, experienced and ethical provider.”
Richard Finan, Director of Arc Legal, said: “Our appointment by AXA Corporate Services demonstrates how well our bespoke model can be adapted and applied to the various servicing programmes that operate in the fleet accident management market.
“Under our service the bulk of the claims process will be managed directly by specialist motor ULR lawyers because, in our experience, this approach offers higher success rates in recovering the types of complicated ULR claims which fleet operators’ experience.”
The policy is underwritten by Inter Partner Assistance SA who are a wholly owned subsidiary of AXA Assistance SA and part of the worldwide AXA Group.
