ARC LEGAL IN THE NEWS – INSURANCE POST INTERVIEW

Following the integration of Composite, Frank O’Malley, Chief Executive, spoke to Insurance Post about Arc Legal’s ambitions for the year ahead.

In February, we officially completed the integration of Composite into Arc Legal and announced our new senior management structure and ambitions for the combined business, including the expansion of our product suite and enhanced services for our partners.

In a follow-up interview with Insurance Post, Frank discussed why the two business’s complement each other so well.

Arc Legal has built up a strong reputation for innovative legal expenses insurance products but until now had no involvement in the provision of After The Event (ATE) legal expenses insurance.  Composite has an excellent technical capability in this area, allowing us to combine our respective expertise to build out a more robust product suite.

Frank also explained that there was very little overlap in the nature of the customers the two businesses service. Arc Legal is typically a volume provider, whereas Composite tends to focus more on niche business such as trade associations and trade unions. The integration of Composite means that as a combined business we are able to offer support to a wider range of partners.

Lastly, Composite operates a well-regarded legal helpline and we are exploring areas in which we can use this service on a wider basis.

As a business we are focused on growth and see the integration of Composite as an excellent opportunity to achieve this as well as to strengthen the services provided by the business.
