ARC ANGELS TEAM CELEBRATES RACE FOR LIFE

Twelve women from Arc Angels, the corporate social responsibility programme of Arc Legal, the specialist legal expenses insurance provider, have raised £2,500 for Cancer Research UK in the charity’s all-women Race for Life fundraising run.

The team smashed their previous total raised last year by £900 after completing the 5 kilometre race in Lower Castle Park, Colchester, last weekend. First to finish the race out of the Arc Angels team was Sarah Dyer, Underwriting Manager and Zara Mayhew, Underwriting Assistant.

Race for Life brings together thousands of women each year to walk, jog or run and raise money to beat cancer. To date, 4 million women have raised over £240 million for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

Helen Withers, Managing Director of Arc Legal, who took part in the charity run, said: “The team did incredibly well in their preparation and fundraising activities. The event itself was so much fun and an exciting experience for all of us, especially as we all wore pink halos!

“We are delighted to have beaten our total from last year so thanks must also go to all our sponsors for their supporting this excellent event.”

Arc Angels was established in May 2008 and provides support to voluntary groups and the fundraising efforts of staff and Arc Legal’s strategic partners and clients at a local and national level.
