The number of adults in the UK with unmet legal needs has reached an alarming level, but do insurers have one solution that could narrow the justice gap?

Tim Mullin believes so. In a new article for Insurance Age, Tim argues that insurers will play a crucial role in helping individuals and businesses in the UK access justice by highlighting the value and benefits of an often-overlooked product, Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI).

LEI is a product that could play a significant role in 21st-century justice but, Tim argues, the onus is on us as an industry to champion the benefits of the product to customers.

“Education is essential to raising the profile of this product in 2024, and we must all work together to understand and promote the key benefits of LEI to customers and increase access to justice.”
