ARC LEGAL IN THE NEWS… INSURANCE AGE REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2023

2023 has marked a significant milestone for Arc Legal Group. We celebrated our 20^th anniversary and continued to grow and consolidate our Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) and ancillary offering to provide a one-stop-shop for our broker partners.

In a new article for Insurance Age, Deputy Chief Executive Peter Harvey reflected on our successful 20th year and commented on some other significant industry moments in 2023 including the “staggering” merger of Markerstudy and Atlanta Group, and the continued rise of data.

“You couldn’t open a publication in 2023 without seeing headlines about data. Data is essential to our industry, but it’s not a new phenomenon. The terminology is evolving far quicker than the use of the data itself.”

But it wasn’t all about the year gone by, Peter also shared a bold prediction for the industry in 2024. For him, the clear unmet legal needs of 3.6m UK adults presents an opportunity for LEI to move to the fore and narrow the growing protection gap.

“The industry must work with brokers to educate customers on why LEI isn’t a tick box add-on, and how it can provide vital legal support when they need it.”
