Litigation the last resort

We are customer centric, and when it comes to Family LEI, we know that litigation is always the last resort.

That’s why we provide a holistic service – including an in-house specialist Legal Assistance Helpline, a user-friendly Legal Assistance Portal including standard letters of complaint, advice trees and appointment service to help customers to settle disputes as quickly as possible without resorting to the courts.

The legal process
If a legal case needs to be pursued, our intelligent Online Claims System (OCS) guides claimants through the claims journey; and we decide within 5 days on whether a claim can proceed under the insurance policy. Once accepted, each claim is then assessed on its own legal merit using our specialist in-house lawyers or external panel solicitors. We then either fully fund the legal case or provide additional support and guidance to help the claimant reach a settlement.
