Purpose of the role

Reporting to Arc’s Director of Product Governance and Insurer Strategy, we are looking to recruit a Product Documentation Technician to help ensure our clients and end customers receive accurate, compliant, and easy to understand product documentation.

The role includes the drafting, maintenance and cataloguing of customer facing documentation including policy wordings, IPIDs and change notices. The candidate will also support the drafting and maintenance of client and supplier ToBAs and agreements.

This is a group wide role covering Legal Expenses (BTE & ATE), Assistance and Accident & Health classes of business.

Main Tasks

  • Production of policy documentation including policy wordings, IPIDs and associated product literature.
  • Ongoing review, maintenance and sign-off of modular policy wording and IPID templates.
  • The creation, review, maintenance and sign-off of bespoke product documentation as required.
  • Utilising templates, the production and maintenance of client and supplier ToBAs and agreements.
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and underwriters to ensure the correct documentation has been accurately produced and implemented.
    • Help create and implement processes and procedures to ensure business, legal and regulatory requirements are met with any necessary changes identified and implemented.
    • Support senior managers to ensure all product governance requirements are met.
    • Help maintain a secure and consistent catalogue and version-controlled suite of documentation.
    • Review of competitor documentation to assess how we can improve our own.
  • Regular reviews of existing documentation to ensure legislative and regulatory compliance is maintained.

Experience and Person Specification

Essential

  • Excellent document drafting skills including use of Microsoft Word and PDF editors
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Confidence to own tasks without supervision

Desirable

  • Proofreading experience
  • Good investigative and research skills
  • Experience of working in the legal and/or insurance sector.
  • Experience of working in an FCA, PRA or SRA regulated business.
