We have found that conversion levels improve when the value and benefits of Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) products are made clear to customers at the point of sale. Our corporate partners have used this opportunity to introduce LEI to customers through innovative services and benefits. These include:
Where a customer has not opted for LEI at inception or renewal, cover is provided mid-term for the remainder of the policy term at no cost to the customer. Brokers then invite the customer to continue with the product.
Discounts are applied to the gross rate, ranging from 50%, to the cover being offered at no cost to the customer in the first year. This leads to greater conversions at renewal, either at continuing discounted rates or at full price.
Courtesy calls are made to the policyholder up to 30 days after the inception of their policy. This provides an additional opportunity to upsell LEI after the initial sale.
