THE SALES PROCESS OF ADD-ON LEGAL EXPENSES INSURANCE

Richard Finan, Director of Arc Legal Assistance, has been discussing how the leading provider has been working with its corporate partners to improve the sales process of add-on Legal Expenses products.

 

The initial recommendations published by the FCA as part of their on-going investigation into general insurance add-on products, suggested a number of actions to improve the sales process of such products, including banning ‘opt-out’ sales and improving the information provided to customers at the point of sale.

 

Arc Legal have been working with partners for over a year to help improve their sales processes, following the FCA Thematic Review into Motor Legal Expenses Insurance in June 2013, particularly those who have already switched from an opt-out to an opt-in sales process.

 

Arc Legal provide their partners with a range of training workshops and supporting marketing materials to ensure that sales agents have the appropriate knowledge to provide customers with enough information to make an informed purchasing decision.
