ARC ANGELS UPDATE

On the 19th July 2015, the Arc Angels took part in the Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

This was the 8th year in a row that the Arc Angels have taken part in the race, having already raised over £10,000 for the valuable work of Cancer Research UK.

The Race for Life is the UK’s largest female-only fundraising event, raising over £513 million in the last 20 years for Cancer Research UK.

The 25-strong Arc Angels team, which consisted of staff, friends and family, took part in the Colchester leg of the race, which saw participants covering 5K around the town’s Castle Park.

Cancer Research UK is committed to the life-saving research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Funds raised from events such as the Race for Life go towards research into many aspects of the illness, through the hard work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses throughout the UK. The charity also works to raise awareness of the disease, and increase the chances of early diagnosis. Without the support and donations of the Race for Life, these goals would be harder to reach.
