Arc Angels team celebrates Race for Life
This year's Race for Life team of twelve Arc Angels managed to raise an amazing £2,500 for Cancer Research UK.
The team smashed their previous total raised last year by £900 after completing the 5 kilometre race in Lower Castle Park, Colchester. First to finish the race from the Arc Angels team was Sarah Dyer, Underwriting Manager and Zara Mayhew, Underwriting Assistant.
Arc Angels 1st Year Overview
Arc Legal's corporate social responsibility programme, Arc Angels, is now officially one year old!
Over the last 12 months, Arc Angels has given financial and other support to local and national voluntary organisations, as well as supporting the fundraising efforts of Arc Legal's staff, strategic partners and clients. It has been a great success with 14 different activities taking place, raising well in excess of £5,000. We've also donated items such as hampers and children's toys at Christmas.
We set up Arc Angels because we recognised that, by giving something back to the community in which we and our partners operate, we added another very important dimension to our business. Reflecting our location and business interests, we decided to focus our own corporate support on four main charities - Essex Air Ambulance, Headway, Help for Heroes and the Metropolitan & City Police Orphans Fund. We also supported activities alongside our staff including Race for Life, Children in Need and Barnardos Secret Santa appeal. There is more on our Corporate Responsibility activities on the website.
One year on, we are taking this opportunity to look back and also to say a big thank you to all who have taken part and given up their time and energy so generously! Needless to say we have all thoroughly enjoyed supporting Arc Angels and look forward to helping further.
Here's just a selection of the voluntary organizations Arc Angels has supported over the last year:-
